Shea Ducks

You folks don't know this about me, but I sometimes torture myself over whether I should post certain pics or not. Like this one for example. I shot this from a moving Long Island Railroad train, heading west, into New York City. We were passing through Flushing Meadow Park, which is where Shea Stadium is. (Home of the famous NY Mets) Shea Stadium is going to be blown-up this fall, to make way for brand-new stadium, City Field. There are many emotions attached to this pic for me, on so many levels, but it all probably means NOTHING to you, my blog readers. So why post it? Is the color nice? Yes. Is the composition lovely with the ducks following the shadow of the electric lines? Yes. But is it blogworthy? I just don't know. Will I be there to see this holy landmark get blown to bits? Absolutely!

Here is a sweet memory of the first time we took all the varmints to Shea...

Here is a pic of the new Citifield Stadium, being built. (sorry for the train wires)

If they publicize when they are going to blow it up, we should arrange a field trip to watch and document, along with Mets hats and popcorn.

If it's important to you, it's important to us. That's what blogging is all about, that's why we keep coming back. Not to mention that the photos and memories are lovely and who doesn't like that?
