Skyline, 1982

I did this drawing in 1982.
I found it in Mom's house on Thanksgiving,
and smuggled it home in one of the varmint backpacks.
I can't stop looking at it:
1) for obvious 9/11 reasons
2) how the phuck did I ever have the patience to draw all those dots??
3) and umm... why does the hand have 6 fingers!!???
4) why would Art School admissions
allow me in, with a 6-digit hand?

Amazing. Did you draw it while sitting on the other side of the river?

Let us know if you figure out why you gave the viewers the (extra) finger...

Other than the obvious gorgeousness of the piece, I'm having a hard time getting past the six fingers. (Note to self: Check out Heidi's hands next bloggy dinner.)

Beautiful picture. I didn't even notice the hand until you mentioned it. You really have no memory of adding another finger? What does it all mean? Hmmm...

Maybe they thought they had to admit the special girl with the extra finger? Or maybe that's all that's left of your twin? The mystery lives on...
