I've known Ellen since kindergarten.
The thing that I remember most about her, is not necessarily her kindness, sense of fairness, or her beauty...
but rather the fact that in 5th grade, she won the Spelling Bee.
I occasionally run into her, but living such busy lives, we'd have a quick, but brilliant catch-up,
and like a flash she 'd be gone again.
This time when we caught-up with each other, we had a long sit-down at the diner and she showed me what she's been up to...
How gorgeous are these charm bracelets!!???
...and in some cases, how NAUGHTY are they?!
She fashions them out of vintage Cracker Jack charms and old earrings.
I think it's awesome that she's using her Spelling-Bee-Winning intelligence to create things of beauty... using her powers for good, instead of evil.
The results are so Faboo! It's as though each bracelet is it's own art exhibit!
I have been gently suggesting that she start her own online shop, and hoping it gets through.
Can you guys help me convince her?
Meanwhile, you can find her pieces at this store in Chelsea. Or contact her for more info: hipt79[at]aol.com.

what a charmed life and friendship.
These are really something! Thanks for sharing :)
these are super fun...my aunt gave me a charm every year for my birthday and I still wear the charm bracelet to this day.
Haha...charmed life...that PVE is so witty. :-)
Our house came complete with a toaster built in to the wall (?!?!), so I'm particularly fond or the toaster one.
Those are FUN! I have a similar one... but I never wear it... I actually have it on display in my studio... I'm too afraid of losing a charm.

I always knew whatever Ellen did was special. I love the bracelets!!
Thanks, all! (I'm the responsible party, bracelet-wise.) I, too, tend to display them more than wear them but I have a careful method for making sure the myriad charms stay intact. After I finish up the piece I cringe, then toss the bracelet onto the floor. If it withstands THAT, great! If not, reinforcing becomes necessary.
Looking forward to replenishing my stock!
Love reading these fun comments...many, many thanks...
