Keeping Busy...

Gotta keep those varmints busy...

especially when it's 14 degrees outside.

On New Year's Day, our only plan was to watch the chia grass grow.
So when Elena called, and asked us if she & Mr. O can come over, we were THRILLED.

She brought over a bunch of stuff to make sock puppets...

which made the varmints squeal with glee.

shot some hoops...

played some serious dominoes...

and played, and played.

For that, we are eternally grateful.
Thanks El & O!
It's been a really great year so far :-)

Isn't the best get togethers are the unplanned ones? I love it. The puppets are so cute!
On the other hand watching the chia grass grow, would be very calm and relaxing.
Enjoy your day!

Beautiful post Heidi!! We've been doing a bit of watching the chia grass grow, too...had an extra week of holiday break due to snow days. Cal got dominos for xmas and it has become a favorite around here.

Your play room and sock pupppets are great!!

No dip for me. It does look tempting though. Maybe it's the hypothermia setting in, but people seem to come out of that water on a natural high...

I like the frozen window pic!

I wish I was making sock puppets right this second. Instead, I'm writing corporate bios. Good times.
