Digging into my old journals, has me craving my Art School sketchbooks....
(click pic to zoom.)
There is SO much content in each page, that it's hard to choose which ones to show you.
For example, this page has notes from the person sitting next to me:
"Would you like to go to the poster show together, Oct. 21?"
My response: "I'd like to, but I can't plan that far ahead."
WTF!? Why couldn't I just say YES? If someone asked me NOW, I'd certainly say YES.
I wish I could go back in time to so many of my no's & change them to YES.
There's also a simple line drawing I did of our teacher, (who I might have bad-mouthed at some point)
leading this other person to defend her.
And the question that has been answered, finally, all these decades later:
"Artists NEVER buy pens– then where do they get them from?"
They steal them.
xoh :-)

You must be having so much fun going back and reading them. Your line drawing looks exactly like the snow fences they put up along the roads here in Maine.
Too funny I'm really enjoying your journal entries! If you only knew then then what you know now!Enjoy your weekend!
Oh, your previous post, made me call my Mom to do an Archeological dig of sorts to send up any remains.
Are you keeping all the varmints work alphabetized and filed for posterity or hysterity? I like to make of words too.
You had that graphic designer in you all along.
Clearly you have always been a character. I would have so enjoyed sitting next to you growing up.
I love the line design in the middle. And I LOVE how it's the same design for the girl's hair. Reminds me of the "Nina's" I'd look for every Sunday morning.
Keep 'em coming!!
I was cleaning out a room to put my press in and found my old high school sketchbooks! I had so much fun :) Really loving your journal entries. Happy Weekend.
I love seeing all your old journals. I just dug out a couple old sketchbooks and was thinking of posting some too. What a great time!
Hey! Gimme back my pen! Do you remember that sketch pad you had with the guy blowing a trumpet and you wrote in a voice bubble, "something to incessantly suck"? I had to look up the word "incessantly"!!!!
I can't believe you turned down a poster show.
:-)
I know I said it before, but I'm so.... love these journal posts. Oh no... I feel the pull to go into the storage space to look for a drawing book. LOL...
I like the line drawing of your teacher.
Have a good weekend.
