The Journals Part 1

I have a box of journals... maybe 40-50 of them.

I started keeping them from the year I turned 15, until the year I moved in with Hubby.
20 years of my life is recorded, described, and inscribed in here.

Though I was inspired to photograph them, I wasn't prepared to see them.
Or read them.
It's as though the emotional content had a voice... and this voice was so loud,
that my head exploded.

So I decided to put everything back inside until I'm ready to open them one at a time.
to be continued....

What a great visual. I never have the patience to sit and read through my past journals but every so often something leads me to open a random page. And more often than not, I love what I read. Here's to taking one page at a time...

p.s. I love your blog.

Holy journal collection, Batman! I am impressed. And...."this voice was so loud, that my head exploded." HA! Yes...it must have been one heck of a trip down memory lane.

Wow... Amazing!! Maybe you could just stitch them all together like a patchwork quilt, and read one every night, at bedtime.....

P.S. you can NEVA destroy these...even if you have to pack them up and put them in someone else's attic to be found by future generations/homeonwners. Think of the HERtory contained therein!

Wow. I wonder how many I have. I have not gotten a new one for this year yet. Most of mine are started and never finished but I know I have plenty. I love this visual.

Wow!!! I have probably purchased half that many and filled up 10 pages worth...I'm terrible at keeping up. I think that's why I like blogging so much - the social aspect of it keeps me doing it and enjoying recording at least little bits of my life.

Will you be starting your memoirs?
I have a few journals at my mother's... I should go dig them out... they would surely make for some good laughs!

i've always admired people who've been able to keep journals. i never have but i'm on journal duty for 2 friends - if anything ever happens to them, i have to find the journals and hold onto them, until their kids grow up :)
