Deep Thoughts Continued...

I don't know if it's the leaves falling, or the rain falling, or both, but I just can't stop all this thinking.
Something's really bothering me. I don't understand why there is so much hullabaloo over whether same sex marriages should be legal or not. Why is it even a question? We're talking about 2 PEOPLE who would like to be legally married.

Not a CAT and a person, or a DESSERT and a person.

Not even a BOOK and a person.

(though I can't say there weren't some desperate times in my life, when these seemed like the most viable options.)

Is it at ALL possible that people didn't understand the question? Maybe because it was phrased as a double negative?  "Vote YES to say NO!"
Just sayin'.

Anyway, these are just SOME of the things that I think about on days like today.
Blame the leaves & the rain.

I agree. You can probably hear me from where you're at ranting on this same issue and pacing at my house. How can.. after all this time...people still be so hateful? Really? My thinking is these people are not changing their beliefs. You are not going to change them by passing this law. They will be together regardless so why not allow them the same civil liberties and rights that you have. In this modern day to have certain people still be treated as second class citizens is a puzzle to me.

just a minute ago i said to my husband why can't the president of the united state who supports gay marriages make it so across the nation - enough already!

Yup. Frustrating beyond words. Isn't this a simple 14th Ammendment issue? Argh!

here here to you thinking honey! I look forward to the day when we start dealing with real issues and not these ridiculous morality plays...
i think the U.S. is in a new kind of civil rights movement and things will slowly improve---the fight will keep the issue alive and hopefully turned over.
(good eventually conquers evil right?)

This has been one of the few things so discouraging about this weeks voting. It makes me want to cry in frustration!

I loved your thoughts, though, it helped lighten my mood! Especially the most viable option part :)
