How to be a Jewish Mother

to dig this book out of it's hiding place.
It was published in 1964, and designed by Tony Palladino,
who coincidentally taught graphic design at my school.

It seemed pretty funny, back then,
seeing these everyday things printed in a book for the whole world to see.

Especially this page below, which illustrates the perfect position
for angst-ridden sighing & hand wringing.
Oy.

How to overdress for winter:

And as an added bonus, I found some exposed
"safety film" in the back, from this camera.

That does seem pretty hysterically progressive for 1964.

Sorry posted too fast. Wild book. As I was saying, Oh boy, the hand wringing. I do my fair share of that now with my teens.
