Three Lovelies...

...from my mother-in-law's house.

This one has similar shapes as the one above it. I wonder if it's from the same artist.

THIS is how my hubby learned to tell time :-)

Oh how I had access to such treasures...both my parents and my husband's are big purgers. So there is nothing wonderful left from earlier days.

I know, me too!!!! I wonder where these designers are now. Do they know that we love & appreciate their work? Also, which toys & games should I save for MY grandchildren to play with when they come over?

the glassware is simply gorgeous. as a packrat myself, i find it wonderful that you still have the old time teacher. i believe that it is these things that tie us to our past and create our own living sense of history.

Fabulous! I'm so glad I come from a family of hoarders, goodies like those are always handed down, around, over, wherever. Not my husband's family... his sister is QUEEN of yard sales. She once tried to sell an oil painting my father-in-law painted (now living in my family room) AND her own great-grandmother's SILVER from Ireland (she decided to keep that). Whenever I give her something now, I make sure to preface it with, "Give it back to me before you sell it for a quarter."
