Back in the Day...

There is no question that my souped-up Mac Pro gives me a thrill, on a daily, if not hourly basis.
But who can remember the thrill of burnishing Letraset down on a cushy piece of paper with a two-sided thingy??!!!
Or the satisfaction of finding an em dash in the right font & size, on a saved galley from the month before?
(Thanks to Johno & Alec @ ilovetypography.com, for reminding me that YES, i DO still have a whole folder of Letraset, along with my beloved two-sided thingy.)

I remember experimenting with Letraset as a kid. I loved it. But I must admit I'm pleased that that was phased out before I got into Advertising! : )

wow. I didn't know I never have commented on your blog! I wish that when I got a comment I could just respond but blogger sends all the comments with a noreply thingy. But if you emailed me ever, I would definitely email you right back. And now that I'm seeing your blog, I'll be back!

thanks erin!
I'm actually thinking about decorating a mid-century lampshade with letraset ornaments. Is that crazy? Someone talk me out of it...
