Which Watch?

Drumroll please........
First prize goes to Laura@the shorehouse!
She recommended so many faboo watches, that it was hard to choose.
In the end, it came down to 2:
The Cosmos Watch (which she recommended) and the Past, Present and Future Watch.
(Which I found on the same website, by the same designer)
My choice reminds me of the old saying:
"The past is history. The future is a mystery, and the present is a gift."

2nd runner-up: PVE.... who was on the right track with MoMA and M&Co

3rd Runner-up: Elena... who recommended this funky swatch.

Thanks for helping out, ladies!!  Email me: heidi[at]faboographics[dot]com with your
snail mail addy  to receive your prize ring.

There must be something in my genetic code
that responds so viscerally to the words FREE COOKIE.

Another Note from Mina

I love Mina, even when she goes overboard with the tape :-)
I love her handwriting.
I love her to the core of her ancient soul.

FABOO Giveaway!

True confession:
For the past 3 months, I've been using my cellphone as a watch.
It's now getting to the point where it's becoming an embarrassment,
but here's my dilema:
As a graphic designer, I'm pretty picky about watch design.
My watch needs to have a faboo face.
As a Virgo, I need a watch that has ALL the numbers on it. 1-12.
No skipping.
And I want a NEW watch. No wrist goo from previous owners on ebay ;-)
As a pescatarian, I prefer no leather straps.
Metal is ok, so is plastic, vinyl, rubber or fabric.
As a thrifty Mom of 3, I need a watch that's under $100,
and DURABLE enough to withstand a full-on varmint attack.
As an old lady, I prefer analog.
I can't help but see words in digital time...
To me, 7:33 looks like EEL backwards and upside down.
(and I wonder why I'm craving sushi.)

To Enter: Send me some watch links,
in the comments section below
for a chance to win one of these faboo lucite rings.
First, Second and Third prize rings will go to the top 3 selections.
Remember, the price limit is $100.
Enter as many times as you like from now until
friday 10/10 at 3pm est.
Good Luck... thanks in advance for your help!
Can't wait to see what my new watch will be!

Sistah (in-law)

Facts about my Sis-in-law:
1) She makes the most drool-worthy chocolate cakes EVER.
2) She gave me my very first journal (pre-cursor to my blog?!) when we were 15 years old.
3) We used to hang on the monkey bars and talk about boys. And ESP. And boys.
4) When we got tired of talking about boys, we went home and watched General Hospital.
5) We watched General Hospital & ate Doritos.
6) When we ran out of Doritos, we would go to Burger King for french fries.
7) When we went to BK for fries, we would stalk T.M. (who didn't even know I existed.)
8) Years later, at my wedding, Sistah was sitting at the singles table.
9) That's where she met my Hubby's brother.
10) Almost exactly one year later, they were married. In the same place.
11) This is what makes us "sistahs".
12) A year after they were married, we both got pregnant at the same time.
13) 9 Months after that, I gave birth to twin girls.
14) 3 Days later, she gave birth to a baby girl.
15) Now, one of our favorite things in the whole world, is taking them all out for a "ladies lunch".
16) And celebrating all of their birthdays together.
Happy Birthday Girls!!!!
And... I love ya, Sistah!
