Not Martha

When I lived in the West Village, I often went to Fishs Eddy,
hunting for treasure.
It's a dishware joint, where you can buy odds and ends from custom dishes made for restaurants, hotels, dining cars, etc. (Now it's become so huge, that you can register there for your wedding.) One day, while I was hunting through dish piles, I found plates from the Diner back home.
This was the Diner we often invaded before sunrise.
Where we would torture the waitresses by ordering "Eggs Any Style."
It brings me such joy to serve my kids breakfast on the very plates we sobered-up on as teenagers.

Moody Monday: Hurricane

It started out pretty tame.
Then as the night wore on, it got a little crazy.
You knew I'd be out in this storm, right?

I couldn't stop myself.

And NO, I was NOT driving the car this time.

but I DID drag the whole family with me.
it was a night to remember.
the aliens and sprites were in rare form.

and I was SO happy that I caught them in action.

Rescued Roses

I brought some roses in, whilst waiting for the hurricane.
Still waiting.
What are YOU waiting for?

Must

When I find something like this in my path,
it makes me think all day long:
What MUST I do? Did I forget something?
Did I break the rules?? Did I miss something?!

The Last Drop

Oh my... I didn't mean to worry everyone with all that "End of the World" doom and gloom!
In reality, we were out sopping up every last bit of summer vacay before the first day of school.
Hope all is faboo in your world!

The End of the World

You know the kind of perfect day that you see in superhero movies...
the kind where someone helps an old lady cross the street, a baby gurgles in a stroller and neighbors wave hello?
The kind of day you see just before the big attack on the world.
That's exactly the kind of day it looked like yesterday.

Moody Monday Labor Day

Berkshire Mountains, Mass.

Long Island City... Queens, New York.

You know... the ancestoral homeland. Where the sprites get fiesty.

then back to Berkshires, Mass. Where lobsters in bondage mean: "Happy Labor Day!"
