Moody Monday: 8/11/08

Ok, I didn't catch any moody raindrop pics this weekend. But I DID spend a lot of time shooting & silhouetting desserts for a menu design. Is anyone in the MOOD for dessert??

Hide and Seek

Remember what it feels like to play on the playground?
To be small under big trees?
Imagine if you get the chance to do it all over again...
I found you.

I love you.     Infinity.

Red and Green Continued

Interesting that I should stumble across THIS a mere few hours after posting about red and green right here on this blog.

Stuff: Shiny Red and Fresh Green

This lil beauty was parked infront of Terry's house. Begging to be shot. Like a kid with a lolly.

This is the back road I use 8 million times a day. It never ceases to take my breath away... flying down a steep, shaded hill, then confronted by a wall of bright, sparkling green. I say sparkling green, because it reminds me of these Donovan lyrics: "Green is the color of the sparkling corn, in the morning, when we rise. That's the time I love the best." It was in a Kohl's commercial during the late summer of 2002. Color songs from commercials just stick with me. For years. Like the Nick Drake song, "Pink." From the Volkswagon Cabrio commercial.

My street: A crossroads where an abandoned gas station meets a well-manicured house.

We have a fire engine mechanic shop in our town. When we have guests in from other towns, I like to make them feel welcome. (this one is pronounced Minnie-Olah)

GREEN jalepeno pepper from our garden.
I needed a pretty veggie for a promotional piece I was working on for E&T Plastics...

There is nothing like a sun-warmed, ripe pepper.

I shot it really fast, on the floor in my basement. (vinyl flooring is GREAT for photoshoots.)

Then I convinced the hubby to make some guacamole for dinner :-)
